Metrological Deptt predicts rain tomorrow
New Delhi,27 November: Delhites on Friday observed shallow fog during the sunset and early morning hours. As the winter is arriving, fog will appear for the next three days and there is prediction of light rain as per the Indian Metrological Department (IMD) official. Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning with the minimum temperature being recorded at 11.9 degrees Celsius, average for the season. Indian Metrological official said the humidity level recorded at 8.30 AM was 78 per cent. The department predicted partly cloudy skies for next two days. “Weather will remain partly cloudy in week days and there are predictions of light rain. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at about 28 degree Celsius,” the official added.
There is a feeble western disturbance moving across Jammu and Kashmir. “The lower regions of North Indian States will be covered under a light blanket of fog as there is moisture in the air,” official said. Meanwhile the contributory factor to smog in Delhi air is being observed at very high. The advisory report on Particulate Matters (PM) in Delhi air by System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) was observed very poor. PM 10 on SAFAR real time air quality data was 379.1 while PM 2.5 was 232.8. As per the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the levels of PM 10 at Punjbai Bagh area was recorded 372 and PM 2.5 was 135 two times higher than the prescribed standards.
