Woman found murdered; missing husband suspected
New Delhi, January 13,2016: A 30-year-old married woman was found murdered with injury marks on her body at her residence in northeast Delhi’s Seelampur area today.The deceased has been identified as Firoza, they added.
Her husband, who is missing along with their son, is so far the prime suspect in the case. However, the police haven’t yet been able to track him, said a police official.According to the police, Firoza’s body was found by a neighbour around 11 AM following which the police were informed. She was lying on a pool of blood, with multiple injuries on her body apparently caused by both sharp and blunt objects.
Firoza and her husband, Mohammed Chand, are natives of West Bengal and they had moved to Delhi a few months ago, after which they rented a room in Shastri Park area under the jurisdiction of Seelampur police station, said the official.Neighbours of the couple told the police that they often heard them get into heated arguments and Chand suspected that his wife was involved in an extra-marital affair.
However, such details can be verified only when the husband is tracked down and questioned. A case of murder has been registered in connection with the incident, the official added.DCP (northeast) Veenu Bansal was not available despite repeated attempts.
