Protestors go outrageous at Kenyan teen’s gang-rape
1st November 2013:
A school goer teen girl went through the pain and trauma of the worst crime against a woman, i.e. physical assault or rape. The school girl was brutally raped by a rapists’ group. Her worse condition had compelled the common men to jam and jump in to outrageous protest against the culprits demanding mowing down them in the very sight of the police.
The protestors joined hands for staging a march-pass while reciting the slogan to the Police headquarters in Kenyan capital on Thursday. They headed to the station for filing a petition undersigned by a million protestors who were seeking justice and alleging that the legal bodies had denying the appropriate action to be taken against the suspects indulged in gang-rape.
The identified victim maiden ‘Liz’ of 16 year-old was reportedly thrashed, badly beaten and eventually physically assaulted by the gang of six exploiters. The victim was on her way to home subsequent to attending cremation of her grandfather in western Kenya in the month of June when she was raped. Afterwards, her unconscious body was dumped in a deep sewage ditch while smeared in blood.
An online activist group ‘Avaaz’ has put forth the cruel aspect of the crime of assault with Liz stating that the victim of gang-rape has nothing left but to walk on the wheel-chair as she was thrown as litter after breaking her back during beating or throwing into the dig. Apart from physical injuries, she is suffered from some internal injuries.
The same activist group revealed that the offenders were punished with meager punishment of cutting grass at the lawn of the police station.
