Protect the children from sexual abuse
New Delhi,2 December: Over two lakh people in the country have so far pledged their support to a petition demanding the Government to implement a roadmap to protect the children from sexual abuse. Coming forward to support the cause led by Member of Parliament Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi agreed to engage with a National Coalition to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse formed with an aim to deliberate on solutions to the complex multipronged issues of child sexual abuse. Comprised of lawmakers, Government representatives, NGOs, school principals and activists, the Coalition also aims to help the Government architect a policy frame aiming to ensure safety and well-being of children.child2
