Nawaz Sharif finds Kashmir a flashpoint for flaming war between India and Pakistan
Islamabad, 4th December 2013:
Declaring Kashmir as a flashpoint, Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has stated that the controversial territory ‘Kashmir’ can inflame a fourth war between the two prolong rival neighbouring countries, i.e. India and Pakistan. However, Pakistani PM sought an early settlement in context of this matter of dispute.
While recounting his dream memory, he was hopeful of evidencing Kashmir as a free region and was optimistic to have this to be happened in his lifetime. While being in Pak-occupied Kashmir for his brief addressing to the budget session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Council yesterday, he stated, “Kashmir is a flashpoint and can trigger a fourth war between the two nuclear powers at anytime.”
But no such statement as told above was included in the mention of press release issued from his office last night. His proclamation, however, goes in the words of Sharif as Kashmir issue should be terminated as per aspirations of the people and the UN resolutions for the sake of settling or establishing peace in the disputed territory.
The quotes statement goes, “The Prime Minister said that he had a dream of seeing held-Kashmir free from the Indian occupation and desired that this dream could turn into reality during his lifetime.”
Inflicting all blames on India, the Prime Minister categorically repeated about Indo-Pak relation that it is India that is triggering arm-race. He insisted over the words, “We were drawn into arms race by India.” And “If we had a choice, we could have diverted these expenditures to the social sector uplift and eradication of poverty.”
He looked satisfied and also delivered the words of thanks over the improvement that has been taken place and advanced in the situation on the Line of Control (LoC).
