33rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) begins in Delhi
New Delhi, 15th November 2013:
Much awaited trading event which is the 33rd biggest fair, i.e. Trade Fair, is started in the capital city of India on Thursday. New Delhi has been a major trading hub since 1980 during winter season every year since many business tycoons constituting business Community assembles under the one roof of Pragati Maidan.
The ribbon of India International Trade Fair inauguration (IITF) ceremony was cut by the auspicious hands of President Pranab Mukherjee. The ground-line of IITF 2013 is inclusive Growth of Bihar as a ‘Partner State’ and Japan as a ‘Partner country’.
The ticket-sellers at the counter of 27 Delhi Metro Rail Corporation stations are selling entry tickets for entry in India International Trade Fair (IITF) during business days from tomorrow. General public can witness the exposure of IITF from November 19. The metro stations selling tickets for business days to enter in IITF are laid ahead:
Rithala, Dilshad Garden, Jahangirpuri, HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre, Anand Vihar, Central Secretariat, Inderlok, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba, Saket, MG Road, Noida Sec-15, Vaishali, Rajori Garden, Janakpuri West, Dwarka Mor, Dwarka Sec-9, Mundka, Peeragrahi, Punjabi Bagh, Badarpur, Govindpuri, Lajpat Nagar and Dhaula Kuan Metro station.
“General public is advised to avoid last minute rush of purchasing tickets at Pragati Maidan Metro station, they shall purchase the tickets from their originating station,” Anuj Dayal advised, DMRC Executive Director, Corporate Communications.
Customer Care Centres of Metro Stations are also rendering tickets for both business and general days to get entry into IITF from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on all days.
The price fixed for entry ticket at Metro Station is Rs 400 for business days and Rs. 50 & Rs. 30 for adult and children respectively on general days.
For tackling the rush and prospective crowd as being visitors to IITF, Delhi Metro services will operate exclusively availing 20 token/smart cards within the compound of IITF, Pragati Maidan beside its Gate No. 10 from 1 pm to 9 pm during all general days of trade exhibition.
“The DMRC is expecting massive crowds to use the Pragati Maidan Metro Station and, therefore, additional ticket counters will be opened at Pragati Maidan Metro station. Additional DMRC officers and staff, customer facilitation agents and security staff will also be deployed at all stations,” Dayal said.
The metro rail service will resume during peak hour frequency taking 2 min 40 sec from Dwarka to Yamuna Bank the entire day (8 am to 8 pm). Two trains will also be kept in store as standby boogies during Trade Fair occurrence for passengers’ comfort.
