10 bombs exploded in Iraq, 50 killed
Baghdad, 28 October 2013:
At least 10 bombs exploded in Shiite-majority areas of Baghdad in Iraq. 50 people were killed and dozens of people were injured in the bomb blast on Sunday. Government of Iraq sent their helicopter to the nine different areas where bombs exploded and hovered low in the skies of Baghdad while a thick trail of black smoke etched the horizon after the blasts.
One of the deadliest incident happened in the town of Baquba, several bomb hit a bus terminal. The several explosions sent people running for cover and spread shrapnel in all directions.
According to a shopkeeper, the frightened passengers were fleeing the station in different and safe direction. He also added that terrorist’s deliberately targeted places where people congregate. Lots of innocent people were wounded and died in this attack.
The other bomb blasts in crowded markets in mainly Shiite areas in Baghdad. Another blast exploded through a parking area in front of a government court. A woman who works at the court claimed that a judge was hearing cases and that time a car bomb blew up outside the court. In this blast, number of vehicles destroyed and she lost her vehicle too.
Next incident happened in Northern city of Mosul, where a car blasts targeting soldiers waiting outside a bank to collect their wages, near an army checkpoint in the city. Due to this, 14 people killed, including civilians and 30 people wounded. During this explosion, unknown gunmen also shot dead two soldiers and a civilian.
